Product Description
Modern diesel vehicles have a diesel particulate filter (DPF) in the exhaust system. This captures soot and other engine particulates. It helps meet strict emissions regulations. Vehicles with DPFs have regeneration cycles. These are triggered by the engine control unit to burn off particles and renew the filter.
Eventually, the DPF may become too clogged to regenerate. It must be replaced or cleaned. This is costly and labor-intensive. Some owners choose to remove the DPF entirely and reprogram the engine computer. This is called a “DPF delete.” A DPF delete involves removing the DPF and replacing it with a non-filtered exhaust pipe. The engine control unit must be reprogrammed to function correctly without the DPF.

The Benefits of a DPF Delete
Reduce Fuel Consumption
Removing a clogged DPF can boost your vehicle’s fuel efficiency. A clear exhaust path means your engine doesn’t have to work as hard. This leads to reduced fuel consumption and lower fuel costs.
Higher Engine Performance
Deleting the DPF allows exhaust gases to flow more freely. This results in increased power and a more responsive driving experience. An engine control unit (ECU) adjustment is necessary to fully benefit from this enhancement.
Lower Maintenance Costs
DPFs require regular checks and maintenance. This is especially true for vehicles frequently driven on short trips. Deleting the DPF eliminates the need for these costly and time-consuming upkeep routines. This saves you money in the long run.
Why Choose the KAX DPF Delete Kit?
T-409 stainless steel is more corrosion-prone than 304 stainless steel. However, it provides a longer use-life than common OEM aluminized steel exhaust systems. The KAX DPF delete kit is designed to enhance your 6.7L Powerstroke’s performance and durability.
